In 1884 Angelo Mariondo created a machine with steam technology to reduce the duration needed to boil coffee. Apart from that, he also increased the pressure by 1.5 bar to get the coffee essence. The machine won an award at the expo in Torino and made coffee a popular drink throughout Italy.
Meanwhile 1919, Alfonso Bialetti founded the Bialetti company in the village of Crusinallo, located in Omegna, province of Novara (now province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola). He closed the company but reopened the business for making moka pots, which he created in 1933. His son, Renato Bialetti, decided to start exporting it in 1947, this father-son duo achieved success and made it possible for the whole world to enjoy espresso coffee personally in their respective homes.
Nel 1884 Angelo Mariondo creò una macchina con tecnologia a vapore per ridurre i tempi necessari per bollire il caffè. Oltre a ciò, ha anche aumentato la pressione di 1,5 bar per ottenere l’essenza del caffè. La macchina vinse un premio all’Expo di Torino e rese il caffè una bevanda apprezzata in tutta Italia.
Intanto nel 1919 Alfonso Bialetti fonda l’azienda Bialetti nel paese di Crusinallo, che si trova in Omegna, provincia di Novara (attuale provincia del Verbano-Cusio-Ossola). Chiuse l’azienda ma riaprì l’attività per produrre moka, che creò nel 1933. Suo figlio, Renato Bialetti, decise di iniziare ad esportarle nel 1947, questo duo padre-figlio raggiunse il successo e rese possibile a tutto il mondo di gustare personalmente il caffè espresso nelle rispettive case.
